Who this policy covers
This policy covers Home Project Cost Intelligence NZ, at this website. It explains the current version of the site. Other websites linked from here have their own privacy policies.
Calculator inputs
The heat pump calculation runs in your browser. Our calculator code does not send the values you enter to us, save them in an account or put them in the page address. We have not added a database for your estimates or browser storage for saved projects.
Your browser may keep form values using its own features. Printing or saving an estimate creates an output on your device or chosen print service. Be careful when sharing that output.
Information used to deliver the website
The hosting service receives technical information needed to deliver and protect the site, which can include your IP address, browser information, requested page and access time. Our hosting uses Cloudflare Pages infrastructure. Hosting and security providers may process information outside New Zealand. Provider records are subject to their own controls and retention practices; we do not promise that visiting the site creates no logs.
Cookies, analytics and advertising
Our current site code does not install analytics, advertising scripts or tracking cookies. Hosting or security services may use their own necessary mechanisms. There are currently no AdSense or Mediavine ads installed by us.
If we introduce analytics or advertising, we will update this policy to describe the providers and data use, and provide the consent controls required for the configuration and audience before those services are enabled.
When you email us
If you choose to contact us, your email provider and ours handle the message. We receive your email address, any name you include, and the message or attachments you send. We use that information to respond, investigate errors and handle your request. You do not need to email us to use a calculator.
Please do not send sensitive personal information. We keep correspondence only as long as reasonably needed to handle the enquiry, follow up a correction or meet applicable legal obligations. Email services may retain copies under their own policies.
Sharing information
We do not sell your calculator inputs or contact details. Correspondence may be processed by service providers needed to operate email and the site. We may disclose information where required by law. We will not publish personal details from your message as a testimonial or example without permission.
Access, corrections and concerns
You can ask for access to, or correction of, personal information we hold about you. Give us enough detail to identify the relevant correspondence; we may need to verify your identity. For privacy questions, email diykiwiprojects@gmail.com and put “Privacy” in the subject line.
If a privacy concern remains unresolved, you can contact the New Zealand Office of the Privacy Commissioner.
